How does your Page RPM compare?
We're building a public database of real Page RPM by category, country traffic tier and ad network, built entirely from anonymous publisher submissions.
Pageviews
Pageviews are the number of page impressions your website receives, not the same as sessions, which are the number of visits. A user may visit on a number of occasions and view multiple pages during each visit, so pageviews is the higher of these metrics.
Avg. time on page
The average time spent by users on your pages. Modern analytics call this average engagement time (GA4), which also factors in scrolling and background-tab time.
Bounce Rate
The percentage of visitors who leave without any further interaction. GA4 is deprecating this in favour of engagement rate, which can detect scrolling as an interaction. A bounced visit still loads the page and its ads, which isn't the same as an ad-blocked view, so here it reduces how many ad refreshes a visit earns on average, rather than removing the pageview from your earnings entirely.
Ad Blocker Rate
The percentage of visitors using an ad blocker. Depending on your niche and device mix, this might be anywhere from 10%-50%. You will not earn revenue from these visitors unless you use anti-adblock techniques.
CPM
"Cost per thousand", what an advertiser pays for 1,000 impressions of their ad. A $2.00 CPM means $2.00 per 1,000 views.
Ad Units, Refresh Rate & Viewability
Your ad inventory, how often it refreshes, and what percentage of it is actually seen by a visitor before they scroll away or leave. Advertisers only pay for viewable impressions.
Commission
Most publishers don't keep 100% of ad revenue. An ad network commission of 20-32% is typical, depending on the partner. See how ad networks compare.
